Sage South Africa is offering the Sage External Bursary aimed at supporting previously disadvantaged youth and youth living with disabilities to further their studies at registered public universities across South Africa. This initiative is part of Sage’s commitment to skills development and empowerment.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the bursary, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be classified as a Previously Disadvantaged Individual (PDI).
- Must have applied for and been admitted into a public higher education institution.
- Family income should be between R350,000 and R500,000 per annum. Those below this bracket may still be considered if they meet the criteria but have not been granted a DHET bursary through NSFAS.
- The field of study should be in IT, Accounting, or Computer Sciences; however, students with disabilities may apply for other fields of study.
- Current pass rate must be 65% or above, with exceptions made for individuals living with disabilities (not below the expected pass rate).
- The bursary will cover current fees and historical study debt.
Coverage of the Bursary
The bursary will cover the following costs (capped):
- Tuition fees
- Residence/private accommodation
- Stationery and books
Selection Criteria
Undergraduate Degree Programmes:
- Fields: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Bachelor of Commerce (specializing in Accounting and Finance).
- Year Level: First to final year undergraduate students.
People with Disabilities:
- Undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in all study programmes.
Academic Achievement:
- Current Grade 12 learners must have Mathematics and Physical Science marks of 75% and above.
- Current university students must consistently obtain an average of 65% and above.
