What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll work alongside Sasol’s international team of Data Scientists and Full-Stack Developers, delivering digital solutions for real business problems across the chemical and energy value chain. You’ll also take part in weekly learning sessions, hackathons, and knowledge-sharing events to accelerate your growth.
Here’s what your role will involve:
- Working on real-world digital projects in an agile squad
- Analysing operational and business data using AI and machine learning
- Building and deploying scalable web applications using Python, Django, React, SQL, JavaScript
- Collaborating with stakeholders across the business to deliver usable digital tools
- Participating in scrum meetings and contributing to project planning and coordination
- Learning and sharing insights through Sasol’s internal tech communities and events
What You Need to Apply
This opportunity is open to graduates or final-year students with strong programming and analytical skills. You should also be eager to learn in a fast-paced, tech-focused environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- A BSc in Computer Science, Data Science, Actuarial Science, or a related field
- Programming skills in Python, JavaScript, Django, React, SQL
- Familiarity with application deployment tools like Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps
- Strong mathematical, statistical, and analytical thinking
- 0–2 years of relevant experience
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow professionally
