Role title: Social Media Content Creator
Division: Social Media, Media Relations, Corporate Communication and Liaison
Salary: R300 345 per annum
Location: Head Office, Pretoria

Generic Requirements:

Applicant must display competency in the post-specific functions of the post;
Be in possession of a Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National
Certificate (Vocational) recorded on the National Learner Record
Database (NLRD) on at least NQF level 4;
Be proficient in at least two official languages, of which one must be English;
Be a South African citizen;
Must have no previous criminal/disciplinary convictions or criminal departmental cases pending;
Be in possession of at least a valid light motor vehicle driver’s license;
Applicants will be subjected to a vetting process which will include
security screening;
Relevant courses in the field of the post may be an advantage;
Must not have tattoos which will be visible when wearing summer
uniform.

Additional Post Requirements:

Applicants must be in possession of a Degree or Diploma (SAQA accredited on NQF-Level 6 or higher) in Graphic Design or Multimedia Design;
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the field of the post of which one (1) may be a 12 months SASSETA funded internship programme;
Be proficient in Adobe creative suite applications.

Core Responsibilities:

Identify reputational risks on user-generated content and prepare
mitigating content;
Develop content for social media platforms;
Publish content on social media platforms;
Interact with social media users on SAPS socials;
Conceptualise and design graphics for the SAPS website and official SAPS Social Media platforms;
Create engaging graphics that visually represent SAPS brand values;
Study briefs from internal clients and determine best ways to visually present content in a way that is captivating
