Sappi Risk and Safety Graduate Programmes 2025

Sappi is offering a one-year internship for recent graduates in the fields of Risk Management, Safety, or Occupational Hygiene. This program provides hands-on experience with the Risk, Safety, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) team, guided by skilled mentors.

Responsibilities

Interns will be involved in:

• Participating in risk assessment and risk prevention activities.
• Performing duties as a safety officer during maintenance shutdowns.
• Conducting safety inspections and capturing daily safety reports.
• Participating in incident investigations and analysis.

Qualifications

Candidates must have:

• A Grade 12/Matric qualification.
• A Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree in Risk Management, Safety Management, or Occupational Hygiene.
• No prior work experience is required.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
