Cashier Needed at SA Metal Group

SA Metal Group is seeking a qualifiedย Administrator/Cashierย to provide essential administrative support to the companyโ€™s operations. This role involves handling transactions and ensuring accurate processing of weighbridge tickets.

    Purpose

    The primary purpose of the Administrator/Cashier is to support the operational activities of the company while ensuring accuracy in commodity grading, cash handling, and administrative tasks.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Accurately identify commodities, perform correct grading, and weigh commodities as specified.
    • Generate accurate weighbridge tickets after each transaction.
    • Ensure weight deductions are made for all bins, crates, trolleys, and vehicles on weighbridge tickets.
    • Process all weighbridge tickets accurately.
    • Count and reconcile cash daily.
    • Pay scrap customers and dealers accurately.
    • Manage large cash receipts and payments effectively.
    • Generate and maintain various reports related to transactions and inventory.
    • Perform general office administration tasks.

    Qualifications

    • Education:ย Grade 12 or equivalent.
    • Computer Skills:ย Basic proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and Microsoft Office.
    • Numerical Skills:ย Ability to work with numbers efficiently.
    • Experience:ย Previous experience in administration and cashier duties is essential.
    • Driver’s License:ย Code 08 driverโ€™s license with own vehicle is essential.

    Skills

    • Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans (both spoken and written).
    • Excellent communication, telephone, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Capability to work in a physically demanding environment and handle pressurized situations.
