The Foschini Group (TFG) is offering a valuable internship through the Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme for 2025.

This is your chance to gain hands-on experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), data protection, and secure user lifecycle management—at one of South Africa’s leading fashion and lifestyle retailers.

Who Should Apply?

This internship is perfect for unemployed South African youth who meet the following criteria:

  • South African citizen aged 18 to 35
  • Completed an IT Diploma or Degree
  • Not currently employed
  • No previous participation in a YES programme
  • Passionate about starting a career in cybersecurity

Minimum Requirements

  • Completed qualification in Information Technology (Diploma or Degree)
  • At least 50% in Pure Mathematics and English in Matric
  • Studied Physical Science in high school (advantageous)

Key Responsibilities

As part of the Cybersecurity team, you will:

  • Perform daily health checks for Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems
  • Manage user lifecycles: creation, modification, deletion of accounts
  • Conduct monthly access reviews to ensure only necessary permissions are active
  • Assist with access remediation to align with least privilege principles

  • Understanding of network protocols, security tools, and IAM principles
  • Familiar with cyber hygiene, secure authentication, and access controls
